I went to a Toyota dealer to look for a new Sequoia (large SUV), and the salesperson told me that they only had one on the lot and it was already sold. The salesperson also told me they won't be getting any more Sequoias until October because they are selling so well that Toyota can't keep up with their production. And the salesperson also told me that their dealership sold over 200 cars in the last month.
Now I personally don't believe any of this. I think the reason there was only one Sequoia on their lot is because Toyota is probably scared to make too many Sequoias because they are afraid they won't sell in this economy (recession). Therefore they are not supplying the dealers with lots of Sequoias because they don't want them to sit on the car lot and not get sold.
Opinions?
