Whilst driving back from Las Vegas yesterday, there was a lot of rain and wind and I turned on the defog system in my April 2007 Toyota Corolla (which I purchased as a certified used car in July 2008). The windshield cracked close to area where the air blows for defoging. 70% of the windshield has a crack now. It stopped cracking as soon as we turned the defog off.
Question - Should I ask the dealer to replace it for free? What should I do if the dealer refuses to do it? If I cover it under insurance, will my insurance premium increase?
