My Toyota Corolla 2003 has been behaving strangely recently. Randomly the all the gauges on the dashboard start to jump about. This has happen in the past but stopped when I found out my brakes were low and needed changing. Just wondering if there is a link and what is the logic behind this behavior. Any help would be useful. There is no information on this on the internet and have asked lots of garages and none seem to know the answer.
Well I have had this car for about five years and has never given me any issues apart from this one. Hence I want to get to the root of the issue and resolve it before it causes other problems such as....failing brakes!
Timbo is here. How do you explain how this behaviour went away once I replaced the brakes the last time. And now that the brakes are low, this has come back. I have also noticed that is issue is more frequent when the roads are wet. Could there be an issue with electric component and water and the brakes. My theory was that it was a way to let the driver know that there is an issue with the car. Hence the owner will take it to the garage and they will find that the brakes are low. Wishful thinking?
