i'm thinking about leasing a car but can't decide which one to get. the 2010 toyota corolla (w/o all the bells and whistles) is $179/month and $1399 due at signing for 36 months. the 2010 mazda3 i sport is also $179/month and $2774 due at signing for 36 months. i've always wanted a mazda3 but i hear the toyota gets better gas milage. which one would be better?

Tough question here. You must think about which one would suit you personally. Toyota has a slightly better reputation for reliability, but scores lower on the 'fun' factor. Have you checked with your insurance agent? Run your question by him/her and this may help you to decide. Mazda's are great cars but tend to be pricier to insure. Lastly, leasing is very often the most expensive way to have a car in the long run. Limits on annual mileage can be a pain if you drive a lot, and when it's time to turn the car in, inspections can be ruthless. That scratch you've lived with for 2 years can cost plenty at the end of the lease.

the mazda3 is a better car than the corolla as in the 2010 offers a better ride an a safer one at that.
not sure on Fuel but both should be in the low 30;s
the mazda also offer much more for the money.

Toyota is at a point where they think there to good for everyone else.
I would get the mazda.
