Toyota corolla kicks when i put it in reverse and drive?

Whenever i switch to reverse or drive the car kicks very hard. Also whenever i am at a stop and i take off, every time at 15-20MPH the car kicks. never at high speeds or anything. Just when switching to reverse or to drive and when taking off it kicks at 15MPH

. I don't know how the car has been taken care of i got it as a present and this is my vehicle to fix or whatever.

Its a 2005 Toyota Corolla LE with 92K.

Do you know what it might be?
 
Check the transmission fluid first. If it is okay, you might have to take it in for diagnostics. I have a similar Corolla and have no problems at 75,000 miles
