Toyota Corolla 2002 check engine report "VVT system malfunction bank 1"?

I was having a problem with Toyota Corolla 2002 with check engine icon on my dashboard, i did check with computer test to verify the problem and got the report, it says "Variable value timing system malfunction bank 1 - P 1349" , but the technician didn't understand what is the problem.

Please some one help me in solving this issue related this this computer report.

if its a v6 or v8 then there is probably 2 camshaft position sensors. bank 1 is on the left looking forward of the engine towards the rubber belt/s
