Toyota Celica Gear Stick fix?

I have a 54 plate Toyota Celica. The leather cover under the gear knob has recently fallen down from the stand (i.e you can see the wired underneath the gear stick etc) and I cannot get it to fix back in its rightful place.

I have also checked the Celica manual but this hasn't helped.

Any ideas?
