I have Avalon 2002 XLS that I bought a couple of months back. I have noticed that even when I close fresh air from outside, there is still some air coming inside the car from somewhere around the front of Driver's side. The air inflow gets faster as I increase the speed of the vehicle. I believe the air is coming in from the portion where the car has the metallic VIN tag placed under the windshield in front of the steering wheel. I drove the car at 80 mph and the air coming in from that portion was quite strong. Again let me emphasize that I switch off the fan / AC and also I turned off the fresh air from outside. I do realize that air is supposed to come in when the fresh air is on, but this is not the case here.
I initially suspected that the car might have been into some accident, but the Carfax is clean and shows no accident. Can anybody tell me what could be the reason for this leak?
