I've been driving a Civic for five years and it's time for a change. I know I'll be giving up gas mileage, but it's something I'm willing to do. I had my mind set on a Toyota truck (pickup or Tacoma) anywhere from say 87-00 but lately have been thinking perhaps a Jeep; either way, a 5 speed. The most I'm willing to pay is $4,000.
I really don't need either one for work or for hauling around extra stuff, but the extra room would come in handy every time I go to and from college. Mostly just to be able to sit up higher, a more fun ride, and like my Civic and CRX, to get from A to B. I know the Toyota's have always ranked highest in terms of reliability and longevity (especially for a truck), but I've also heard that lately with the Wranglers...
I live in Ohio, so the 4x4 will come in very handy. Toyota truck or Jeep Wrangler?
