I am looking to purchase either a 2007/2008 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 with a v8 or a 2007 Volvo XC90 AWD with a v8. I am looking at the v8 versions of both for the added towing power, and have noticed that the mileage difference between their respective v6 and v8 models is negligible. The Volvo has more features, but Toyotas seem to last forever. Can anyone offer insight into either, preferably based on actual experiences. Key factors and maintenance costs/insurance costs/reliability.
