S Sarah New member Feb 17, 2010 #1 I have a 1998 Toyota 4 Runner and the passenger door won't close. Took it to a local machanic who wanted to charge over $500 for a new "latch mechanism." That seems a little high.. How much does something like this cost to fix? Thanks!
