toyota 4runner 98 transmission?

i need to drain my tranmission since water had went into the transmission, i have put 4 gallons of transmission fluid into the car, But it havnt been running the same.How many quartz should i have put in it after a full drain?

4 gallons is to much better recheck start the engine gear is in park position then check the Gage

Check the owners manul and check the dipstick with the 4runner running and in park, fill till the full mark on the dipstick

You can call the auto parts store and they should have that info in the computer. And as far as it running funny, make sure you have enough fluid in the trans.
