Toy Story 3 Cancelled

They probably would have hitched a ride as stow-aways on a flight to Taiwan carrying the Buzz toys. The atricle does say though that they have cancelled the DISNEYproduction of the film, and that IF Toy Story 3 is going to be made, it will be made with the original team and by Pixar members. They could decide to start production on the Pixar version of the film, which would probably have better effects and a different storyline altogether.

I think the story though is better than the original plan for Toy Story 3, where Andy is all grown up and the toys are given to an orphanage where they now live. They find the orphanage is going to be shut down by some nasty head-boss type fellow and they set out to stop his plans.

I wouldn't give up hope for a Toy Story 3, it will happen, but not until after 2008, as this was when the Disney version was planned to be released.

Well I do hope Pixar make a Toy Story 3. It still amazes me that Toy Story 2 was that great, I would go as far as saying it is as good as if not better then the orginal. Although it was missing the little RC car :(
 
And to think, Toy Story 2 was supposed to be a direct to video sequel, yet it became the biggest movie of the year when released and grossed more than the original. Hope they realise the potential a 3rd movie would have and they treat it accordingly.

They shouldn't do it. It would just be milking it. I mean come on...they have to rescue Buzz? Just the same as the other two.
 
Thank f*** for that. The 2 Toy Story films are about as perfect as films get. To do another one would probably not be as good and spoil the whole series. I think its great that Pixar sticks its neck out with each new film and creates new stories and characters. Well, except for Toy Story 2. Ummm. Yeah but you know when say you see a film you think is great and they do a crap sequel, it somehow makes you feel less good about the original film? Shouldnt do but it does.

Take for example, The Matrix. Great first film. But now whenever we watch it, the bit at the end when they are off to that underground city (Zion, is it?), we know they are off to some stupid shitheap where they have crap "raves", and Neo is off on some non-sensical quest to do whatever exactly it was he ended up doing, Im still not entirely sure.

Also T3. Now you cant watch the end of T2 and think thats that. You know there is this whole next episode that is a load of shit. You know that the guys in the 2nd film didnt suceed at all.

Having said that, I am quite fond of Alien 3, even though killing off Newt and blokey-whatshisname who was also in the ship was a terrible idea.

Anyway, my point is, I am glad that Toy Story 3 is cancelled. Although if the Pixar guys decided to do it, I trust they would make it excellent and I would certainly see it.
 
Ooh imagine that. The drama, the suspense. Few minutes before the end and Buzz is only on $2 and then suddenly theres a surge, $5, $10, $13, $17, $22, $30 Andy can't believe it and then...

Well I don't want to ruin the ending.
 
Pixar weren't even that keen on making Toy Story 2, but Disney kept badgering them for it. They basically said they wouldn't make a sequel if the story wasn't good enough, thankfully it was. I just don't know if it would be another hit if they did decide to persue another sequel. I think that's the problem with the Shrek films, although the jokes were good, the sequel really didn't have a grounded story, which stopped it from being a better film. I'm glad that Disney bought Pixar though, great partnership, and we'll get more films from them.
 
They seem to really care about Toy Story. Didn't they completely remake Toy Story 2 because they didn't think it did Woody and BUzz justice?

While sort of on topic, anybody else get the four disc Toy Story 1 and 2 boxset? Look on the back, the Toy Story 2 logo looks like its been enlarged (even though its still small) cause its all pixelated. Looks tacky in my opinion.
 
Apparently Buzz was to get broken and needed to be sent back to Taiwan to be fixed.The toys dont know about this and think hes lost.
