Ok, so I am curious if there any ordinances in towns (in the US) that limit expansion and building of new homes (on undeveloped zones). And if so, what are the names of these types of ordinances? Does it have some to do with zoning?
Basically, the town that I live in is expanding like crazy. Almost all non protected land is getting torn down and developers are building condos, town houses and a few new homes. I was hoping to suggest something to limit or stop any new building on non developed space, at the next town hall meeting, but I am ignorant if laws like this even exist and if they do the name of them.
