Towing with toyota hilux, thinking of turboing.?

I have an 84 model toyota hilux. It has a haymen reece 1800kg towbar fitted. It has the early 2L-T motor in it but currently does not have a turbo on it, thats how i brought it. Towing my trailer which weighs just under a tonne empty i can only get it up to just under 70kph on the highway, seeing as its the turbo motor, i thought id do the right thing and put the turbo on it. How much power increase can i expect? I am mostly concerned with getting boost up hills and stuff so i wont be back to 1st all the time like i am now.
Its a diesel, NOT A PETROL
 
if you need it for towing, you should get a supercharger because if you turbo it, even with a smaller turbo, most of the torque will be in the higher RPM range. a supercharger will give more consistant torque, so you should get that.
