Is there any way to find out the adresses to towers or antennas? I dont get good reception at my house, but a 1/2 block away i get all my bars. The only towers i know of is a nextel 1 block a way. Please help!!!!
Murray,Utah I was wondering, because after alot of searching i know where every nextel tower is located right down to the ezact street adress!! I was hopeing cricket would let us know also, but they are like verizon wireless. They dont show you the coverage right down to the street adress because they have tons of dead spots!!!!!!!!!! Only nextel, sprint, tmobile, and cingular show street coverage!!!!
it will be hard to get the location of network equipment. cricket doesn't like to give this out. they share sites with other carriers.
if the change in coverage is that drastic it is most likely being influenced by something else, or you are sitting underneath a tower and there is no overlap.
Cell site locations ARE public record. Most are registered with the FCC! You might need to get through the red tape though. You might start with looking for land or lease deals (permits for towers are required and are also public record).
They must of put up new towers, i decided to back to cricketa few days ago. I went from 1 to no bras and dropping calls a few months ago to 1 to 3 bars and clear calls. Thats great because i like the unlimted calls, with out paying overage. I used to be below a tower, still in same place but now the service works!!!!!!!!!!!
THe same thing happened at my girlfrienRAB house a year or so ago... I went from not being able to make a call anywhere at her house, to getting perfect service, even in her basement overnight. I'm not sure if it happened because of a new tower or what... it happened right when they started roaming on verizon and sprints towers.. I wonder if they somehow piggybacked weak coverage areas through VZW/Sprint at the same time...
