Suppose in Example 21-11 that x = 0.25 m, Q = 3.15 µC, and that the uniformly charged wire is only 6.00 m long and extends along the y axis from y = -4.00 m to y = +2.00 m.

(a) Calculate Ex and Ey at point P.

(b) Determine what the error would be if you simply used the result of Example 21-11, E = λ / 2πε0x. Express this error as (Ex - E) / E and Ey / E.
