Touchscreen Problem bad

This afternoon My touch screen becam wildly off. If I tap lower left the icon in upper right is triggered.

I have tried to run Digifix twice I have soft rebooted 5 times and I have tried running power DiGi twice.

Nothing is working.

I also peeled off screen saver as someone suggested it may be interfering.

Help???
 
Unless you've installed or upgraded some software recently - the screen is probably biting the dust.

You can try a hard reset - hot sync just before you do. And see if the screen is still acting up - if it is then it's not a software conflict.

If the screen is fine - then start reinstalling the stuff one program at a time and test the screen each time to see if that software may be to blame.

It is very rare that software will cause the type of issue you describe however.
 
There are glass digitizers (the digitizer is what lays over the actual display and provides the "touch screen" function) available for the Palm T|X, but not from Palm; they have to be ordered from other sources. I just got one and installed it myself in ~ 30 minutes, and the improvement is amazing. If you do not feel comfortable performing this moderate surgery on your PDA, there are companies that will sell you the digitizer and install it for you. The repair involves removing the four screws from the back, opening the device and removing a cover and one ribbon cable, then changing the digitizer by removing it from the display. Reassembly is the reverse of the disassembly. This is a very basic description of the process, but should show what is involved.
