Touchscreen advice

I just wanted to get people's feedback on buying a phone with a touchscreen....

Im not sure how practical it is...can you still carry it around in your pocket? Is it that much easier to enter info in the pda?

any advice would be appreciated

For me, it's easier to navigate the phone when it has a touch screen, but as far as entering data, a qwerty keypad works better than a screen (for me at least).

I haven't had any problems carrying mine in my pocket, it does get it's own pocket though

is there anyway to lock the screen...the way we lock the keypad on phones?

Im scared that with a touchscreen all sorts of functions will be pressed especially when its in my pocket and I don't want to have to pay always special attention to my phone...

My phone has a screen lock (M600i) and I'm pretty sure most if not all touch screen phones have them as well
