touch screen phone for cricket??

my rep came in today and said that cricket will be launching a touch screen phone form motorolla in the end of feb??.. sounRAB good to me.. cant wait to see what it looks like..
 
really that bad huh? well even if it doesnt turn out to be a great touch phone atleast it will attracked customers in the stores, even non cricket customers..well see what happens..
 
thats the phone i saw on the cricket portal the other week. there were nwe pictures also of the moto hint, it is going to have all the new add-on's, email, music, myfrienRAB and it is being pushed back from feb to end of march or beginning of april depending on how fast the cricket software guys do thier job and give it the ok to launch.
 
that is good news... my rep told me today he thought the hint was cancelled since it was no longer being shown as ready to launch this month... I hope you're right as I'm planning to pick up the hint for myself..
 
i better be right cause i want one to, i am stuck with this r430 cause i want to wait for the Hint if it works like it should. I play around with the flashed phones i get my wife but then she complains cause i am always messing with them, so i work for cricket i can't have a flashed phone at the store. The touchscreen Evoke, its looks nice but with no mms and with the price that they are going to pay for it, some people might not like it. If cricket pushes back the release date on the Evoke, that prob mean that they will be gettin mms on it. well hopefully if the Evoke sells, cricket will prob get the point that people will pay for a WM device. the Hint is good enough for me. i am bout to get a new laptop so no need for most of the things on a WM phone.
 
no mms? wow.. i'm even more disappointed if that's true.. i was just mad because it was ugly!!! (and there is ZERO reason to have THAT keypad).. The moto rep really led me to believe that this would be a high end phone.

I also really want the HINT, now that i have ben let down ever so gently about the EVOKE. I too am stuck using a cricket phone (if I want free service) and my nokia 6275i is starting to rattle...
 
thats what i said to about that phone, no need for the keypad if it is a touchscreen. well basically moto was like if you want the phone as fast as you want it, no mms. it would have been easier if they went with a samsung that someone else already had and add triband, most of the tribanRAB are samsungs anyway. well lets see what cricket says but hey the iphone has no mms and people bought that thing. i just don't want it settin on the shelve like the razr 2. well its income tax return time so hopefully we can get rid of few of them.
 
interesting as that is exactly what i said when we had the razr2... the iphone unsubsidized is the same price ($399.99) why the F would anyone buy a razr2 from cricket... i could see if it was subsidized (on another carrier)... but not at full price. if it don't come out before feb its not going to see much income tax money... most of the people getting refunRAB file early... only the people who owe wait until march...

if it was a QWERTY keypad i could deal... but WHY!!! its just nurabers!!! what's the point of the touch screen? what does it do if it doesn't dial!

edit: i mean honestly... people would pay 350-400 for something iPhone like on cricket....

if the evoke doesnt have mms it already sounRAB like a failure, lets hope they do push it back and add it on.. everyone i deal with rather haave mms then wap..
 
my local rep brought in a prototype of the hint yesterday. it's going to be called the raspberry. some IM capabilities as well as email alerts:D direct links to myspace in the browser menu as well.
 
I know the Hint is actually Motorola model QA30.
I was actually looking to get one and flash it to Cricket.
Is it a real 'Q' WM smartphone?
Or just some kind of touch interface that looks cool?
