Pertinent details: I made a friend in college 3 yrs ago, she was a real gem. but the more I got to know her, I saw she was a bit flaky and a wild partier. nonetheless, when she had her graduation party a few weeks ago, I attended and brought her a card and a bottle of wine. She kept making references that she was looking forward to my party and what day and time was it, etc....She knew about it, had it on her calendar.
I know she didn't forget because she mentioned a couple days before. The day of my party, she never showed, called, etc. TWO DAYS later, she texted me, and wrote, "I was sick. sorry. I have your present."
I just replied "ok." but she has never come over. I guess I was surprised she was that cavalier about not showing up. She has yet to come by my house (which she passes on her way home from work), BUT, she keeps texting me, "You can come by my house anytime you want and get your gift."
that just seems so tacky to me. I have not gone over there and don't intend to. If she says something again, I'd like to say, "Becky, it's not the gift I am concerned about, I was disappointed you didn't show up at my party and I miss seeing you."
opinions?
Apparently, I forgot to mention that someone else told me she was hungover from the night before. that's not really "sick".
how about criticizing me and just answer the dam question. how about believe what I am stating here. If I wanted to be called self centered, I'd go call my mother.
