I fasted for a little over 19 hours for my blood test. I know that is a longtime, but I had to work before the blood test, then I went in for my appointment and they lost the paperwork so it took another 4.5 hours!
After 19+ hours of fasting my total insulin test result was 11.3 (they told me normal range was 0.6-24.9). Even though it is in normal range, I assume this is for a 8 hour fast not 19+. Could this mean that I am hypoglycemic? Should I get new blood test results?
