The 5th episode of TDA airs tonight on Teletoon. It is titled "Wacky Wild West"

Remember to keep episode details in spoiler tags.

It looks like LeShawna will get an afro in this episode. I think that the chances of Bridgette returning in this episode are slim to none now.

Just saw it. My review

Wow where to begin?

So that is the reason LaShawna got the afro. Is just me or was there a reference to 6teen with Lindsay reguest to go to the mall?

Trent got lucky last week, and still didn't stop throwing challenges, that would be his death nail. Even if they didn't think he was throwing challenges, causing your team to lose, puts yourself in jepordy.

Evil Justin returns again, he is already plotting his way. Trent was going to be voted off anyway, he was plotting against Gwen already, he is thinking ahead. He might try to minipulate the other team in future votes. Even Heather didn't do that last season, unless you count the talent show when she tried to turn Courtney and Bridgette against each other.

Speaking of which, some more Heather karma, and I loved it that Beth got some revenge.

Did Duncan compare Courtney to a bear? Can't say I disagree, she is scarry when she is mad. That makes her great.

The first breakup of the season, Trent and Gwen break up, is not really a surprise. Obviously they are the rollicoaster couple of the series.

But while one love connection ends, a new one begins, I am looking at you Justin and Owen. :D Though it is doomed to fail, we all know Justin is in love with himself.

Saw it, here's my thoughts.

  • Yeah, I figured since last week Trent was next on the chopping block. Sad really, one of my favorite campers from last season has really changed for the worse. From a cool laid back guy with a guitar to an obsessed wreck of a man.
  • And more sad news, GwenxTrent(or as I like to call them, Gwent)=through. I was afraid my favorite couple was gonna go to splitsville, but not so soon. Poor Gwen, she obviously didn't want this to happen, but Trent kept shooting himself in the foot.
  • I liked how Leshawna is getting pissed at Duncan for picking on Harold. I also liked how Duncan is picking on him because of the whole "voting off Courtney" incident. Good moments for fans of those pairings.
  • I believe this is the first nutshot joke. And I'm glad there's one last "Trent gets hurt" joke before his departure.
  • Maybe now that Trent is gone, the Grips can actually win an episode. Even the Bass won sometimes.
  • The one I got has no preview. WTF

I think the Grips will win the next one for sure, by hook or crook. What do you think Justin meant by "owe them one", obviously Gwen is going to throw the next challange to make it up to them.

Now that the teams are 6 to 4, the writers will even things out, so the Grips will lose in the next two elimination episode to even things out.

Speaking of which, Justin is on cruise control, doesn't have to worry about a single vote against him till the merge, giving the players left on the Grips are all members of his fan club. As long as Beth and Lindsay remain best friends, Owen is in trouble. The next time the Grips have to eliminate somebody, no one is voting off Justin, Beth and Lindsay aren't voting off each other, all that leaves if Owen. Unless Beth and Lindsay have a falling out, which is possible. I wouldn't be surprised if Justin plots to break up their friendship, after the examines his teammates and determains that Lindsay is the least useful.

  • I have a feeling Trent and Gwen will be back together by the end of the season
  • I wonder how much longer it will be until Courtney returns
  • Justin is really starting to play his part as the villain
  • I'll bet CN is going to edit this:
    Duncan: Payback's a (Cut)
  • I wonder if the Grips will have a new team captain now

Pretty good episode. Can't say I'm all that surprised at the elimination though. You can only screw up so many times.

Assuming someone's eliminated next week and it's not a filler, I think it will definitely be a Gaffer that goes.

I'd also like to add that a few people were worried that this show was becoming too "coupley". Considering the eliminations so far, I don't think you have anything to be concerned about.

Phew. Okay, my comments on the episode:

I wonder, how can there be a heat wave in Canada? Stuff like that didn't happenin season 1.

Justin so far is playing a slightly nicer Heather...remember, always watch him, and it's not because he's handsome to look at, seriously.

"Ooo, I love horsies! Justin told me I look like one! He's so... great... "
Wow, that didn't take long.

...I thought you guys were smarter than that, I mean, the horse farting for 10 seconds?!

Trent isn't gonna go far with a compliment like that...

Or that one... :ack:

Wow, Chris is more sadistic than--HUH?!

Uh, what just happened?! He was reading some sort of note involving the safety of--wow, that's kinda of a first...

Visions of the very first challenge of TDI comes to mind on this one...nice. ;)

Wait, so the horse can carry Owen, but not Lindsay and Beth together? This kinda sounds strange...

More sadisticness, curtesy of Chris, as usual.

Okay, thank goodness.

"I have cow boobies on my head!"
More gold lines... :D

Beth owned Heather there, in many ways than one. ;) You didn't know she was raised in a farm, too, didn't you?

Now it's the other way around, not suprised, really, this is no ordinary challenge, it's a Total Drama challenge!

Justin's on a roll, disturbing me, again. :ack:

Courtney like a grizzly bear? For some reason, I can't image that! Darn it!

"Payback's a b--"
Suddenly, this season is already rivaling the first in terms of dialogue (this, and Justin's "assets" comment), who knew? :p

They break up, oh s***!

And to make things more troubling...JUSTIN HEARD IT ALL!

All of a sudden, there's drama! Oh, man!

Trent's gone, ouch. In a span of 2 episodes, he went strange, and it just costed himself.

I wonder if this means that Justin will take the leadership role from now on, I think he should.

I really want to hug Gwen right now... :( (sigh) I feel so sorry for her...:crying:
I also heard that the episode title got changed, just like the previous episode! It's now called "3:10 To Crazytown", a reference of 3:10 To Yuma, which is a nice reference.

Plus I wouldn't say Owen is gay. Before that he took a peak at the towel clad Lindsay. Of course, I don't blame him, it is Lindsay.

Justin really is ruthless...and not good at challenges. He seems to not participate whenever possible.

Beth got back at Heather.

Heather seems out of place. She isn't evil like in Season 1 and is more like the odd person out this season.

Owen was gonna go #1 in the barrel.

DJ needs to toughen up.

No DJ/Chef alliance this episode?

Chris is as sadistic as ever. Good thing Chef got his revenge.

Poor Gwen and Trent.

Trent went from cool and normal last season to crazy this season.

They will be back together by the end I hope.

Lashawana defending Harold was good.

I love it that Duncan is getting back at Harold for rigging the votes last season and getting Courtney voted off.

Owen really is sort of disgusting. Not just "fun loving obnoxious party guy with a heart of gold" but more like he just has no manners/decency.

I am still not liking Harold, but he had some good moments.

I just finished watching it. Here are my thoughts:

1. I felt sorry for Leshawna when the heat frizzed her hair!

2. During the horse challenge:

a. It was painful to see Gwen dive by sneezing! I tlooked she almost killed herself! Trent sure didn't make things any better when he told her to "break a leg." What was he thinking?!:(

b. Harold hoping his coccyx didn't break after Duncan landed on him was brutal!

c. I loved when Beth & Lindsay landed safely together!:D

d. Seeing Leshawna's bare butt was a hilarious moment!:p I'm glad they left Heather hanging on that weather vane!

3. Trent picking Owen to start the water shoot-out was a very bad idea, considering Owen ruined the challenge when he drank it all.:(

4. During the human calf-roping challenge:

a. Trent sure made a bad pun about those udders, especially while Gwen was wearing one.:(

b. Chris sure got his when Chef hog-tied him for his bad comments.

c. Beth is one excellent cowgirl!:D

d. Too bad Lindsay missed Leshawna.

e. I agreed with Gwen, Trent always throwing the challenges for her was getting repetitve.:(

f. The cattle roping the ranchers was a nice twist!:D

g. I agreed again with Gwen: Trent wanting to be branded witha "G" as her initial was the end.:(

5. It's definately obvious why Duncan's picking on Harold: for rigging the voting box and getting poor Courtney voted off last season!!! I don't blame him!

6. I really feel I should start crying for Gwen for these reasons:

a. She broke up with Trent for the right reasons.:crying:

b. Horrible Justin forced her to confess to her teammates about Trent losing every challenge for her.:crying:

c. She had to watch Trent get voted off from the video room.:crying:

A great episode with a very sad ending. 5 stars. I think I can hear poor Gwen crying in the background.:crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: "Gives Gwen a comforting hug while she's crying and sees her mascara run":crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

Mesousa, you wanted to know if anything would make me wanna cry. I think this pretty much qualifies, doesn't it?:crying: :crying: :crying:

There was also the time Heather manipulated the bass to voting off Eva but yeah Trent is really stepping up the game trying to get both Trent AND Gwen in trouble with the other campers. It's good strategy too: Gwen's a good leader for the Gaffers and last season proved she can still be really determined without her "boyfriend" around. Obviously Justin dosen't want a repeat of last season so will try to mainpulate things to go more his way.

To be fair...

It's probably his fear of being mashed a lot like he was in Season one and mainly the fact he's now in a steady relationship with Gwen and competting against her on a different team. Obviously competting against someone he cares for is not a strength for him. This was proven with how much he wanted to help Gwen back when it became every camper for themselves in season one and is only more compounded here. Also really he's a teenage guy in love: isn't that like one of the formulas for people who do stupid things?

Okay time for my review.

Another pretty good episode. Comedic highlights were "no one's keeping score of this relationship, except Trent", Chris talking about how they tested the challenge on the grips and just showing Chef letting them go, Gwen sneezing herself off the platform, Duncan landing on Harold, Leshawna afro bouncing off, Chris having to read a warning note about how no one got killed in the filming of the stunts and later saying that it can't be a "fight to the death" (maybe after last season the censors got on him more about what he can or can't do with the campers and dosen't have as free range as he did last season), Heather getting tied up by Beth, Chris getting tied by Chef, the Gaffers typign up the grips and Chris admitting just being sadisitc to Gwen at the end. There was also some good notes of continuity: Duncan mad at Harold for voting off Courtney in season one and yeah the whole high dive challenge being similar to the first season one challenge (kind of was expecting a Looney Tunes ref with this one. You know from the LT where Sam tries to get Bugs to jump from the high dive but never can). And yeah nice going of Justin thinking ahead on the stragitizing. Obviously not only is he plotting while still having his team like him but he's also trying to think a few steps ahead which puts him over on Heather. Who I actually like they aren't making her go fully bad this season. Obviously she's still annoyed with everyone and dosen't want to get along but that's her personality. Maybe it will come to a boil some point down the season where she actually does try to change more for real and only proves it to everyone by doing somethign so deaf defingly stupid to save them they actually trust her earenstly... and she still gets voted off. Wouldn't THAT be an ironic way to go for her

That can't be the whole reason why Duncan picks on Harold. Remember, Duncan picking on Harold caused him to get Courtney off in season 1.

Yeah...
Count me in on the "I Miss Izzy/E-Scope" club well. If they don't bring her back in some form, I'll be pissed. Then again, I wonder what her singing voice is? ;)
