As usual, please use spoiler tags for now. Gee I wonder what this episode is about?:p

Saw it.

I guess Chris took on Geoff as his apprentice. Dam he was a major jerk. Hopefully Bridgette will give him a good talking to.

Got to love the whole DJ scripted confessional.

Gwen hated by the audiance, that is funny. And when she was trying to kiss up to everyone by saying she loved them. I am surprised Geoff didn't ask her, what about Heather?

And Duncan is in major troulbe, and he doesn't even know it. When Courtney makes it to the show, she is in a major POd mood towards him. You can thank Geoff for that Duncan? Speaking of which, was it a animation error, that Courtney was suddenly back in the audiance at the end?

And I am sure, some of you loved Izzy's stunt at the end. I know I did.

Nothing like an Aftermath to lighten the load of the drama... Or is it?

Geoff has really came off as more of a jerk then he ever was before. Just as I thought Geoff & Bridgette were the only couple with a happy ending in their future.
  • Yeesh, poor Gwen, fangirls constantly hating on her. Now she knows how Orihime feels.
  • Izzy's big scene at the end got me laughing real hard. The cardboard cutout was a nice explanation why she only sat around doing nothing. I figured Izzy had to do something when that piranha pool showed up. Her outwitting Chef by putting him into said piranha pool was awesome!
  • Trent's fan girl= creepy!
  • Not counting Courtney, who we all know is gonna be back next week, Katie & Sadie are the only non-returning characters to have lines. That didn't irk me as much as last time since them becoming some of Trent's fangirls is the best move the writers have done with them ever.
  • How nice, DJ's mom showed up on Mother's Day. But why did she had no lines? The fact that the man who forced her son into the infamous aliance was on the same set made it feel like a big tease.
Next Time: BACK TO (TOTAL DRAMA) ACTION!

There's a rumor saying that there's going to be a rerun next week. Does this mean the show is going to get a 6-week break after every TDA Aftermath?

You guys probably already knew this but I didn't until I read it off the CAKE website a few minutes ago. The reason she gets to be a contestant again is because of her idiotic lawsuit.

That's just...ugh. If they had to bring her back, couldn't they of found a less crappy reason (within the confines of the show) to do so?

The fact she kept talking about it meant it was the most likely reason.

Last week, the Gaffers won due to a smoke screen made by a fart. I think the suspension of disbelief with this show is already in question.

I'm gathering that Gwen's getting a lot of hate because of Trent getting overly obsessed..

I'm pretty sure she comes back. I saw a clip on one of the CN "Didn't see that coming" bumpers with her in it that I hadn't seen in any of the episodes of TDA I watched with her in them.

I at least hope she does, as she's my favorite TDI/A character.

I'm wondering what other themes they'll do based off movies.. Maybe something loosely based off of Disney/Pixar's Ratatouille?
I kinda hope Owen gets voted off soon. He's just starting to get annoying, and the farting thing is nothing but a cliche now.

If they ever did TV shows, which I know they probably won't do, It'd be hilarious to see them parody Code Lyoko for a challenge, especially if Izzy came back.
Nothing but a crazy idea, so don't get harsh. :P

It wouldn't be so bad if she had rightfully earned her place on the show. But the fact that she gets rewarded for bullying and harassing the producers fills me with nothing but frustration.

OK here we go:

Geoff was such a jerk in this episode!! I mean he didn't care about Gwen OR DJ and they are (or were I should say) good friends with him. He's durning into Chris, only we knew from the start that Chris didn't care about the cast and more about his paycheck. It's really sad to see Geoff act this way. Ironiclly the TDI episode before this one was when Geoff was eliminated and still a nice guy...I just hope Bridgette sets him straight.

No wonder Chef doesn't have a paycheck, he was spending it all giving DJ the 5-star treatment!

Gwen got a LOT of hate, so much that it didn't seem fair. I'm glad DJ and Trent stood up for her. Some friends the rest of the guys turned out to be.

Trent's fangirls...yeah that scared me.

Duncan's in for a world of hurt when Courtny comes back.

Haven't seen a preview YET but I'll keep my eyes open.

Ya know not everything has to be in spoilers, this is abuse of code.

Wasnt Chef suppose to be in trouble with the producers? Now he is working double gigs now?

Another thing, how long has it been since Heather lost her hair? Should it have not fuzzed up by now at least?

Maybe the producers and Chef finded an agreement (or gived the post of security agent as a punishment) or the Chef could possibly have a twin brother

Probably because some people may enjoy Courtney for being a spoiled brat. Like the people enjoy Duncan for being a psychotic bad boy or Izzy for being insane. And when you compare Trent fangirls to "Courtney fangirls", does that mean that girls are gay for Courtney or something? 'Cause I haven't seen it.

Okay, I'm not like last week, so I'm in the mood for commentating again. :)

Anybody got some pretzels? I'm in the mood for that as well. :p

Uh...he's gonna check something...there...

She just totally slapped her just like that!

No way what?

I'm not gonna talk about you-know-who just yet. ;)

GAH! Don't do that!

People are going nuts for the segment!

Did that really happen?

Did LeShawna really do that?

"Better friends than your girlfriend?"
That's in a way possible, Bridge.

Making fun of small animation errors? WIN.

Okay, I know it isn't about animation errors, but it looked like it. :p

Oh Gwen, a certain Nascar driver handles that problem okay. (Hint: It's the one with the M&M's sponsor)

Random dissappearing is indeed quite a scare.

Now it's a Mother's Day Special. A little late, but okay.

I wonder how many lines will she have? ;) :p

Kissing on the cheek? Cute. :anime:

"Oh, come on! That is total bull! Am I right?"
"Do we clap to agree or not to disagree?"
Let's not be immediately concerned! :p

Where is Peter Oldring in these days?

Geoff just felt there wasn't anything old school. ;)

A-HA!

Since she can't speak, she throws fruit at him. Hmm... I smell a TV Tropes topic on this. ;)

That wooden spoon wouldn't threaten me.

Why thank you, Thing.

More bleeping words? MORE WIN.

Did Bridge turn into a robot for a second there? :ack:

Hopefully, that could knock some sense into him.

Muted for my protection.

"There's this prank war going on."
Where?! :D

A little ironic for Sadie, isn't it?

This show is giving us a great message; that, if you have an ego, you'll be desperate for ratings. Thanks, TDA. (The More You Know)

Bridge could defend Gwen if she wouldn't stop looking at Geoff very...sarcastically? Is that even possible?

"I've got a lot of love for all of you guys."
Well, not all, but... :rolleyes2:

I wanna go to the prank war...

Hold on, people who like catfights...

For once in this episode, I agree with Geoff.

This is continueing to be better than expected. :D

Once again, drama.

And...I think that's her ticket out of here?

Seriously, what happened to him?!

Isn't that a little over the board?

Not...listening...at...all.

I'm not even close to that fan's obsession over a favourite character. :ack:

Fangirls. Heh.

3, 2, 1...

IZZY! :D

"Everybody wants a piece of Izzy!"
Hopefully it's not food-related.

She's on a mision to stop a Canadian-made Metal Gear.

"Miss Izzy Esquire!"
Now, I know what you may be thinking, is that her last name? No, it involves law. Unless...it could be a pun on the term of the word because she breaks the law, right?

Where did Chef come from?!

I bow back to you. Hope you'll be okay! :D ;)

Where were we? Oh yeah, Gwen.

Bridge throws out an obscure 50's movie reference.

Then...what was the point of that she's shy herself?

A bit rude, Gwen.

"You and I need to talk, Captain Hollywood, now!"
I recommend you make him see Manos, the real movie, not the MST3K version.

A little bit better than expected, but not as good as the first Aftermath.

The ending was rushed, some characters still didn't speak, and there some "Huh?" moments, and yet it was still okay.

Thoughts about the episode

Wow, Geoff is an unbearable jerk, it was hard to watch. Hoping Bridgette straightens him out next Aftermath, or that's another relationship down the tubes.

Wow, DJ got all that? How did the other cast mates possibly miss that? And nice fake-out with the scripted confessional.

Well, I was on team Gwen for this one, but it was nice of Trent and DJ to stick up for her, even if the crowd didn't.

Classic Izzy. Was an awesome stunt.

Overall, I preferred the first Aftermath more so. Geoff acting like a jerk made it uncomfortable, and Trent's fan girl creeped me out. But it was fun.

Total Drama always played it very loose with physics really. They've done a whole lot worse (Owen sleep-swimming up a waterfall, Roadrunner duck, Trent's skydive), but I tend to think of it as a weird combination of teenage dramedy mixed in with Looney Toon slapstick.

Really, any explanation would really work, even if it's just because she constantly threatened lawsuit. The show pays only an ounce of lip-service to the rules and ideas of fair play, but really people are added and subtracted and challenges won or lost on the flimsiest excuses by the producers/Chris. Really, was Courtney or Leshawna rightfully eliminated in TDI? Was Izzy or Eva's return a rightful earning of their place? If we just take Izzy's return in TDA, she was allowed only because Chris let her in the first place (foresight, it's why they pay him the big bucks!), but would you argue that was rightful? Whatever the reason, the producers are basically in this for ratings and self-interest, and apparently letting Courtney in helped and a good reason doesn't matter.

I like to to think it's potentially a combination of things. Surely there is some Draco In Leather Pants type deal going on, but some see it as the other half of the DxC relationship, and since Duncan's there, it's not the same withouth Courtney (really, shipping is serious business). Other like her as an interesting if flawed character, and others consider a source of drama. Really, we can use more of it. As of now, the only major conflicts are with Justin and Heather, and Heather hasn't been the same since she lost her ability to influence the team, and Justin while a coniving and selfish jerk like Heather, is not nearly as divisive. Despite them almost voting him off, Justin is still on at least neutral ground with every Grip (especially with Izzy gone again), unlike Heather who had everyone hating her, yet still managing to stay alive by doing whatever it takes. The fact that one of these sources of conflict is gonna be gone soon, the addition of Courtney should rile things up.

I kinda Liked TDI, but I'll Be over in the UK during June, is there any way to watch it there? because I went Last year and it took me months to get Acquainted and Caught up with TDI.
