Total Drama Action Talkback "Riot On Set" Talkback 1/25

EDIT: Saw it. FINALLY! And now, my comment on the episode: (as usual, it's long!)

I can tell they liked sleeping here than in the previous season, so in order to make it painful, they will always get a wake-up call from Chris. (sigh) I always have to wake up early in order to get in the school bus, so I'm technically like them. Yay for sharing the pain... :rolleyes2:

"At first, I thought he was talking to the crew crew, not us. I was really hoping they'd replaced Chris the Creep with a nicer host this time around. Is that mean? Sorry!"
Beth, it's a confessional cam, you can even swear if you have to. Was that a bit too far? Sorry.

Izzy always makes something look easy, like waking up easily, at 4 AM.

"I once had a summer job at a petting zoo. "It's so adorable. Everybody feeding the adorable goats their adorable cabbages." But somebody-- i.e. me-- had to shovel up the less adorable end of the digestive process."
Hey Gwen, a little tip, don't get a summer job, it always turns bad! :p

Darn it Lindsay, I thought you were gonna be a bit smarter! Also, I thought you broke up with him! This is...no, no 300 references.

LeShawna was a bit Heather-ish there when she said "Keep your enemies closer", which exactly what Heather said a few times in the first season, and that could be a bad thing, right?

Lindsay is the only one who can easily call Izzy "Kaleidoscope", especially, the longer name, this doesn't seem right.

"Here! (giggles) Hi!"
Hi! What? I'm trying to enjoy Izzy as much as I can!

Nothing's too bad being a grip, Beth, unless it doesn't make sense, so technically, it doesn't make sense to you? Actually, I know what a grip is, but what is a gaffer? Is it some kind of lightbulb (the logo for their team looks like a lightbulb).

After seeing Trant and Izzy conversating about jewels, maybe I should do that to my necklace, which has a car on it. I'm serious, I really do have a tiny, gold car on my necklace, so technically that's either cool or nerdy.

For shame, again, Lindsay. Maybe I should root for Beth after this, then, but...

Wow, DJ has some interesting standards, although he pushed like, a couple of boats to win a challenge last season, and he was even afraid of water.

We're back, and DJ still won't push the trailer! What? I kinda find that funny.

Heather is doing nothing but complaining this season, she's annoying now, not even a close sign of evil, which at least should happen at this point.

BEST USE OF A SCOTTISH ACCENT EVER. :D

I think I imitated as an old man once. Same experience. :p

"MY LEGS ARE ASLEEP!"
Although, unlike what Izzy said, what I said from my previous comment was "I think my back spasms' has spasms."

"You are hot... Very hot, sexy, stud-like!"
Something way strange for Gwen to say. I'm surprised all that Trent could react was just a simple "What?" and then turn an "Eh?" from the look of his face.

Hmm...so far, "crap" and "suck" hasn't been used, and the reason why I'm saying this is because Chris just said "Stinks" here. Just a fact, and nothing else.

Chef, you're technically talking to yourself there, anyways, something tells me this Chef and DJ thing just something to keep the episode going, cause I kinda doubt that DJ would have another incedent like this.

I can't ever see Duncan old, can you? Your response will be interesting if you ever see this. Anyways, he was pretty good, even with the scripts switch.

Izzy doesn't even need an accent to act, but in those clothes? Maybe the reason for the lost?

Actually, many people who already knew about this episode watching at this point should be like "Game over, man."

Look guys, Gwen baaaing, you're welcome. ;)

Courtney reference for the win?

Uh oh, this is it, whatever you do, don't cry, just sigh, yeah sigh.

Oscar announcements were on this week, so it's sorta ironic.

Ironic because The Dark Knight wasn't nominated for Best Picture, and...

...Izzy...being...eliminated...really...it's a sad irony. Must resist...crying...

At least she won't leave without being recognized by her new name!

Unnecesary to bring security, but indeed, it looked like she either gonna lose it a bit, or "hiding" her eyes a bit to make it seem she's covering tears.

"This was just a dress rehersal, my darlings! You'll see my star on the Walk of Fame!"
 :( :crying: I will. I WILL. I WILL!

"Mark my words. MARK THEM!"
I'm...marking them as fast...as...I MISS YOU ALREADY!!!:crying:

Phew! As we have another episode on the books (sniff), what happens on the next TDA?

From the preview... (also with funny commentary)

Hmm...Justin didn't do anything last week (I don't think he even spoke, so much of having the whole cast speak in every episode), so if his body appears, then that means he's gotta do something this week, right?

Huh? (sniff) They're cold? Nice way to keep it secret.

RANDOM DANCING! Wait. What?

Um, I don't think they even showed the actual challenge. Okay. That's makes this even more of a mystery (trying to not say "vague" here...).

I need to be lucky this week (sniff), unlike last week, when it was on the "forbidden site" for less than a day.

Finally saw this episode....

A rather amusing episode, and seeming to set things up for future episodes. This week we finally get to see the teams, and get another film parody (a tearjerker).

Comments:
- The team names are the "Screaming Gaffers" and the "Killer Grips". Not only creatively bankrupt even for Chris (replace "Gophers" and "Bass" with "Gaffers" and "Grips"), but a bad but amusing pun on "Killer Grips". And the reactions of the gaffers themselves (and nobody knowing what a gaffer is) particularly funny. ;-)

For the record:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grip_(job)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaffer_(motion_picture_industry)

Both positions involving lighting and/or the rigging for the cameras, apparently.

- Even the cameramen aren't immune to Justin's charms. :-)

- Guess picking Heather for Gwen's team is one way to keep an eye on her. Nice strategy, LeShawna...

- DJ refusing to pull the trailer *and* being told he needs to toughen up by Chef (in exchange for half the cash). Funny....

- We finally get to see what a "Gilded Chris" is... chocolate. :-p

- Too bad about E-Scope getting kicked off... though if last season is an indication, this might not be the last we see of her.

- Heather forming an impromptu union. Heh.

Old-but-amusing cartoon gags:

- The 90s TV show "The Critic" did the "the award is actually a chocolate wrapped in tinfoil" gag (for an Emmy gag).

Canadianisms:

- We learn Chef was an ex-Army corporal, presumably with the Canadian military, given "corporal" is used more often there as a military ranking than in the US military: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporal#Canada

- A shot of downtown Toronto, complete with the CN Tower, is seen as E-Scope's limo drives off.

Next week:
- Looks like more of Justin (presumably getting to do something), LeShawna gets jiggy with it (or whatever the hip term is for "dancing"), and the movie-parody this time apparently of 60s teen beach movies (such films as "Beach Blanket Bingo" and other films with Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello).

-B.

One other little random note:
This episode was the first time we ever saw Izzy/E-Scope in her sleep clothes, a light blue and gray top with matching bottoms of an unknown length. And of course the barking in her sleep was typical cuteness from her...

Oh yeah, I noticed that, but I was kinda shy to mention that for some reason, I also noticed her barking (reminds me of a scene in the Powerpuff Girls episode "Monkey See, Doggie Do", when Buttercup was fighting in her sleep), and OMG, I think I want an avatar for that. :anime:

Also, while I'm a huge Izzy fan, I never called her E-Scope, cause I kinda didn't take it seriously.

I finally got to see this ep! Here are my thoughts on it:

1. Chris sure still was his sadistic self, getting them up at 4 A.M.:ack:

2. It was weird to learn that Gwen once worked at a petting zoo.:p

3. I wasn't too suprised when Gwen picked Duncan for her team first; Trent sure was beside himself!:( I WAS a little when Gwen chose Heather, though. It was funny that Izzy wouldn't go to Trent's team until he called her E-Scope!:p

4. During the challenge:

a. There sure was enough jealousy to go around between Duncan & Gwen vs. Trent & Lindsay.

b. Lindsay constantly suggesting that Tyler should help made a good running gag.:)

c. I loved how Owen used his belt to tow his team's trailer.:D Too bad DJ chickened out!:p Oh, I really didn't like what Trent called Duncan & gwen.:(

d. I liked how Chef got fed up with DJ being a coward.:D

e. Although they were given the wrong scripts, thanks to Chris, I thought Izzy & Duncan still fit their parts well, ven though Duncan DID do a much better job.:D

5. I loved seeing Trent & Gwen forgive each other for what happened throughout the ep.:anime: It shows that they still have feelings toward each other.:anime: :anime: :anime:

6. At elimination, I wasn't too surprised to Izzy...er...E-Scope get voted off. She could've done better if she didn't go bonkers while acting. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of her!;) :anime:

I can't wait to see the next ep: it's time for the contestants to put on their trunks & bikinis when they create a beach movie in the appropriately titled ep, "Beach Blanket Bogus!" Don't miss it!!!!!:D :D :D

I finally saw it.

Just great, my favorite character gone after 3 episodes. I do have a suspicion that she will be back though. We already have seen Bridgette in the trailer for the western challenge so I have high hopes. But on a high note, my 2nd favorite character DJ finally gets some character development and it's looking like he could be an underdog to win. I'm looking forward to see how that turns out.
