Torrent Leech gave away free invites Christmas last year ....I wonder if they might do the same in 2011...I will be really awesome if the did....

True. People will create as many accounts as they can, and trade/sell them as soon as the place closes. But well, they're still giving people that don't know anyone with an invite the possibility of joining and being part of a very good tracker.

My advice, if you really want TL so much, you could check the forums of trackers you're a member of, sometimes they have exclusive forums where the higher user classes can chat and share invites to other sites. Or wait until you can access the request section here and try to be active in the meantime...

If you don't confirm your account, it'll be deleted after a few days. If you didn't receive the confirmation e-mail, you'll have to clear your cookies, change your IP, and try again.

About half a year ago TL was almost impossible to get into

Yeah, I saw there was a thread about textbooks and I posted a request in there; I've been looking for an instructor's solution manual for my physics and differential equations courses... I'll keep my fingers crossed and see what comes up!

TL is becoming bad now, most up-loaders are looking to uploading porn rather than app+ and movies.

TL doesn't allow porn at all, that's why their staff founded PT, which was later taken over by a separate group of staff members. lol.
