While horseback riding, my horse got spooked and my thurab was jerked sideways. At the time it didn't really hurt until a couple of days later. It's been almost a month and it's not any better. I never had any redness or swelling. I can't open jars and it hurts to even get dressed-you don't realize how much you use your thurabs until you can't. The pain is about an inch below the base of my thurab. My question-is this just going to take a long time to heal and would it even be worth it to go the dr? I don't have insurance and don't want to go if there isn't anything they can do. How long should it take to heal?

I know someone who had a problem with a finger or thurab and didn't go right away and it became stiff a bit because he did not participate in physical therapy. How would you know if it was a torn ligament if you had not seen a doctor to have him tell you? Other things can happen inside because of other structures such as muscles and fascia.

You should probably go to the doctor if it doesnt g=improve in a week or so but I can tell you what I use to help releive pain from my muscle and joint aches...there is a product called Asteeza. Its all natural made from herbal ingredients. I swear I live by it. You can google it. I use it twice a day and use ibuprofen as needed. I feel better now and dont have to ingest addictive pain killers and will help restr mobilty in your thurab while it heals. Hope it works for you ! Good luck ! Ron
