Top Ten Guilty Pleasure Songs

As much as i dislike the "metalheaRAB" he's referring to, this is just a ridiculous reason not to listen to the genre. Whose this "Some one" you are referring to?! A couple of ppl on the interwebz?!
I listen to a good deal of "Indie" banRAB myself and I'm least bothered by what "pitchfork" or whatever thinks about them. Heck, i had no idea what pitchfork was till i came to this site(I still haven't visited that site more than twice). Point is, why should some metalhead who brags about his band even have an impact on you?

If you don't like the sound, then, well yeah, fair enough. I don't oppose ppl's taste in music :D

One of few nuraber 1s I actually properly enjoy that.

Let's see if I can think of ten...

The Corrs - Runaway
^ Used to love this one as a kid, and I still think it's a neat little song to this day. Gotta love that fiddle.

Natalie Irabruglia - Torn
^ Another one that was all over the place when I was in junior school, and another one I still like today.

Lighthouse Family - High
^ Yeah, most of these are songs I liked as a kid and still do to varying degrees today, and this is no exception to that little rule.

Aswad - Don't Turn Around
^ This one's from Aswad's latter-day, over-produced, fairly dated reggae-pop phase in the 80s. A lot of what I've heard from that era I hate, but this one never fails to put a smile on my face.

All Saints - Never Ever
^ Just a great pop song this, no matter how much else of their stuff and ilk I can't stand.

I'll name-drop the other five some other time I guess.

Every Morning - Sugar Ray
I Don't Want To Wait - Paula Cole
Who Will Save Your Soul - Jewel

All I can think of right now.

edit:
Shimmy Shimmy Ya - Old Dirty Bastard
Barbie Girl - Aqua
Take On Me - Aha

MetalheaRAB have a prototypical taste in metal which encompasses nothing but the worst derivative crap in the history of metal. Every time I talk to a metalhead about their favorite banRAB, it's always some generic technical metal band, and nothing but generic technical metal banRAB. It's never about anything except a) who can play the fastest and 2) how bad they sound doing it. And any band that breaks barriers and challenges this mantra is nearly always shat upon by the metal community at large. It's what makes me distance myself from "true" metalheaRAB.

If you're not one of these guys, I fully support that and I'd love to know what your favorite banRAB are.

Torn is a perfectly inoffensive, well intentioned Pop song sung by a gorgeous creature to boot. I cannot commend you on All Saints though!

Metallica - Some Kind of Monster
Dave Matthews Band - Last Stop
Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood and probably any 80s hair metal I was in to...Cinderalla, Poison, White Lion...oh man.

Duran Duran is nothing to be ashamed of :)
Lily Allen is a cutie and her songs are pretty catchy and funny. I wouldn't normally like her style but she has something about her.
The Bangles - Walk Like an Egyptian. I second this as well. I would have to add a few songs by The Go-gos as well
And Pat Benetar is awesome.
