Top Ten Guilty Pleasure Songs

Yeah, I'm only 21 (22 in June) myself, so the closest I ever got to having my ears to the ground musically in the 90s was hearing stuff like Oasis' Roll With It on GMTV or whatever. I do like a lot of 90s electronica, but I tend to stay away from a lot of trance - more into progressive house and big beat like the Chemical Brothers, Leftfield, Prodigy, Underworld and so on. It's great to just crank some of the former once in a while though.

Wham! - Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go
Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes - I've Had the Time Of My Life
Paul McCartney - Press
All Saints - Pure Shores
Blink 182 - I Miss You
Ringo Starr - Fastest Growing Heartache In the West
Shaggy - It Wasn't Me

Can't really think of three more. Watch this space!

here are mine :o:

1. "Down Under" Men At Work
2. "Get the Party Started" Pink

4. "Whip It" Devo
5. "Jolene" Dolly Parton

7. "Roses Are Red" Aqua
8. "You Can't Walk Away From Love" Gloria Estefan
9. "La Isla Bonita" Madonna

Well, since somebody else bumped this thread for me, I might as well post my to 10 :D

1. Elegeion - Scars (a song about cutting oneself, I hate when people cut themselves for no apparent reason, and I hate when they write songs about it, but for some reason I really like this song)
2. Akira Yamaoka feat. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn - I want love ( I hate cheesy love songs, but this is one of the rare ones I could listen to anytime)
3. The Corrs - Radio Unplugged (it takes me back to the time when I was 10 and things were simple)
4. Timo Maas feat. Brian Molko - First day (definitely not one of the genres I listen to, but it was played at a cafe (read dump) where I spent half of my life, and that no longer exists. It reminRAB me of happier times)
5. Moloko - Statues (I don't like Moloko and I don't like Roisin Murphy's solo work, but I have always liked this song, I don't really know why)
6. Ladytron - Soft Power (I used to like Ladytron when I was 15-16 years old. I don't anymore, but this is one song that I still like)
7. The Cranberries - Zorabie (it's a great song, simple as that. I'm not a fan of their other work...)
8. Akira Yamaoka feat. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn - Room of angel (I don't know why I like this, I just do. I downloaded Akira Yamaoka's album and it was one of the biggest pieces of sh*t I have ever heard)
9. Amy MacDonald - Let's start a band (I don't like all these cloned singer-songwriters but this song has something special)
10. Najoua Belyzel-Nee de l'Amour et de la Haine (demo version) (she sucks and has always sucked. The only thing that didn't suck about her was this song (and the fact that she is really pretty). She, of course, managed to ruin that by including a "remastered" version of the song (which sucks) on her new album)

A Favor House Atlantic- Coheed and Carabria
Learning to Fall- Boys like Girls
ABout Falling- Say ANything
Dance Floor Anthem- Good Charlet (I don't know how to spell their name right)
Believe- Cher
and many more, but I can't remeraber anything else.

I actually really like everything by Weezer pre Pinkerton, I'm just to erabarassed to admit it due to how people look at them and how there fanbase kind of sucks.

yeah man. I'm 19, 20 in August, but I have a pretty good memory so I have a massive spotify playlist FULL of stuff I love from the 90s. a lot of dance, a lot of alternative stuff and a fair bit of pop. stuff like Sixpence Non The Richer, The Wannadies, Alanis Morissette, Third Eye Blind, Ocean Colour Scene, Suede, Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Bro's, Eagle Eye Cherry, Sneaker Pimps, Underworld, Basement Jaxx, Deep Blue Something. mainly banRAB that were around then and didn't progress further into the next decade.

so much stuff. i dig it hard. 90s is more than likely my favourite ever decade.

Year of the Cat - Al Stewart
Claire - Gilbert O’Sullivan
Love Is Like Oxygen - The Sweet
Magic - Pilot
Suddenly - Cliff Richard & Olivia Newton John
Moonlight Feels Right - Starbuck (great mariraba solo)

Haha Toca's Miracle, that's a blast from the past!
