For those of you out there that would like to get a set of bags and have them painted Red Hot Sunglow.
1. The paint is a tri-coat making it expensive and then you have to get a special primer that has to be used or you won't even come close to matching. All together the paint and primer comes to about $400.00 and we are talking pints here not gallons.
2. I would need to have a lid or some piece off of the bike in order to match the shade perfectly. Basically you have to do test spray's of the color that you have mixed let it dry and then hold it up to the peice the customer has sent in to see if it is the right color and right candy mixture. Absoluty has to be done! IF it's not and you paint the bags and it's wrong you have to go back through and sand everything off that you just did.
3. Price for the New Style Bags painted Red Hot Sunglow w/ carpet and any cut will be $1,500.00 shipped. With as much work that goes into making the bags look just like the rest of the bike, you would probably be looking at the bags being painted for a $1,000.00 at most places you seek and that is without ordering a set of new bags.

Justin did you talk to Tony about the recess for a licence plate?

The thing is with the recess lisence plate is that the way the tri-light is set up it really doesn't leave much room for the plate and with the design that we have the fiberglass fender will be installed just like the oem one. Making it easier for anyone to install it by themselves and not having to mod much of anything but one hole for the light set up.
The bags for the gentlemen that order them for the fender are being cut and fused back together here soon and once he gets the fender back to us to cut and then shipped back to him completed. Then you will see what the fender and the bags will look like as one on the bike. So there are a few more steps to go through in order to have his project done entirely.
