I had a nice surprise waiting on me today when I got home. My new 4 inch bags from TopShop. Let me just say that these are freaking nice! The false floor is cool as hell, and there's plenty of room under it for stuff you haul around but rarely use, like tools, etc. The carpet job is great, and the finish is as I expected after reading posts from other people on here. I'm very pleased to say the least. I was even more pleased when I sat them on the bike and found that the cutout's line up quite well with the new fender. I have a lot of fitting and adjustments to do, but everything is gonna work well together in my opinion. I'll let the pics tell the tale and ya'll can decide for yourself.

For those of you that may still be wondering about the quality of these bags, stop wondering. They're everything you've heard, and then some.
 
90% of people that build fenders with cut outs are usually 1" down. SO there really wasn't any worryon our side. We have just done too many bikes to not be sure of ourselves.
 
I can't do anything until the new lower fender bracket gets here. I ordered a bunch of stuff from Chicago Harley, but evidently they didn't have any of it in stock. Once everything shows up, I'll get started fitting the new fender cover. Then get the whole fender off and send it and the bags to be painted. I think I'll get the bike off the stand tomorrow and go for a quick ride to see if I scrape or not, before I get the color sprayed.
 
sorry dont mean to be a dick, but that is what i was afraid of.....see how the radius is different on the bag compared to the fender...i think i might try cutting the fender to match a little better
