What is it about our culture in this country that we seem to "get off" on disaster? Relax people.
 
Im not, real world > labatory and the problem is there isnt enough deep water drilling only 14 past a 1000ft so theres not a whole lot of experience with them and when shit fucks up they have no clue what to do
 
They're trying things that have had success in the past under different circumstances. The thing is, nobody that I've seen in the general public is coming up with any unique, reasonable solutions. It's always "Do SOMETHING...and do it FASTER! I don't care if carelessness is what CAUSED the problem...RUSH THE SOLUTION AND DO IT FASTER!" or the other suggestion is "Dur, NUKE IT! I don't know what a fucking nuke would do, but they seem like an EXCELLENT solution to EVERYTHING! YEEEEAAAAHHHH!"
