What are your top 5 original films (not remakes or sequels) in the last 5 years.

SounRAB hard now there is a time frame.

Also new films to be released that look good could count.

2. The Village (2004)
3. Lady in the water (2006)
4. The Glass House (2006)
5. The Passion of Chirist (2005)
 
- American Beauty
- Donnie Darko
- Requiem for a Dream
- Run Lola Run
- Trainspotting (or perhaps Fight Club)

Perhaps one or more of those is a take on a book, I'm not sure.
 
Taken from a book is ok but not old films:

All of these films are older than 5 years, whats wrong with you.

What is this as the only glass house I know is the one made in 2001, which is a remake of the 1972 verison.
Please explain yourself
 
For "written for the screen" films, not adaptations of books or remakes or sequels or TV show spin-oRAB or biopics or documentaries, the ones I can think of at the moment are:

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (although you could argue that this is a remake of every modernist sci-fi film and adaptation of every modernist book ever made/written)
Primer
Team America World Police (or is that a documentary?)
Pan's Labyrinth
Hot Fuzz
 
The Glass house i'm on about is the one with Sandra Bullock in where she is writing to a man who is one year behind her. Sandra Bullock is really keen to meat up with this man but she can't but she eventullay they find a way of meeting each other. The location of the Glass House is by a lake. I didn't realise it was a remake!
