I swear to God, all of these songs make me want to vomit / legitimately vomit.

I dont know ...but seriously I guess it would actually depenRAB on the individual musician that plays the part as a leader and the conductor for any certain band in particular as to who would play an important part.
As a bass player and lead vocalist myself I could verse a bias opinion by insisting on a good drummer that is the timing and heart & soul of the basic rythm section.
I tried not to give a biased opinion by giving the lead vocals second but..who am I to say.
There are just so many reasons for the importance of each position, drums bass, etc. I could go on & on...
I guess the most important thing for me is to simply keep it all in Fun and enjoy yourself and try not to make to serious.:)

By the time that was made a single, I was so tired of Green Day that my brain would just detune every time I heard the beginning...so out of everything, I found Boulevard of Broken Dreams far more annoying. I just couldn't get away from it.

I never quite understood why anyone considered them THE band...I love "Is This It", but it was hardly a groundbreaking album. It was entertaining, but hardly fit the bill for my "best of 2001" list.

I've no idea which one I'm referring to, I've only heard one version. Also how much of a ****ing idiot am I, I wrote along instead of alone :( I think I'm dyslexic :(
