Top 5 Of Anything (Musically)

  1. Allman Brothers - Mountain Jam
  2. Phish - The Curtain
  3. Santana - Soul Sacrifice
  4. Issac Hayes - By the Time I Get to Pheonix
  5. Velvet Underground - Sister Ray

Yeah, I can look at the lyric sheet and really appreciate how beautiful the song is. But as soon as I actually listen to the song, hear his voice and the instruments, I can't stand it.

As far as other languages, I think not being able to understand what's being sung really detracts from the listening experience. It's like listening to an instrumental with gobbeldy g00k (why is g00k censored???) laced over the top. I can appreciate a good singer even if I can't appreciate the worRAB s/he's speaking, but I still get annoyed when I have to interpret what the songs about based solely on the music.

...nah.

David Bowie - Never Let Me Down
The Clash- Cut the Crap
Paul McCartney/Wings - Back To the Egg

^ Much more barf-worthy (I'd think of a better phrase for it, but I'm still half asleep) if you ask me.

While it's nice that we have the arts and culture scene that we do (that pretty much is this city's main industry), it also makes it kind of insufferable sometimes. It seems like everybody with an acoustic guitar migrates here, so there's a LOT of pretentious crap in the local scene to sort through.

5 (of many) Great Posthumous Albums:

1. Elliott Smith - From a Basement on the Hill
2. Jeff Buckley - Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk
3. Mother Love Bone - Apple
4. Janis Joplin - Pearl
5. Gram Parsons - Grievous Angel

It probably is a Scouse thing. Much to my despair, a lot of people round here use the slogan "we don't speak English, we speak Scouse" and I just want to punch the universe. Honestly. This city is rad but too many people in it don't deserve working organs.

To be honest with cRAB I'll hardly ever buy one which I've not listened to before, they're mostly albums I've downloaded previous and decided to then buy. Digital is way more convenient, agreed, but I just like to have the physical copies as well. I like to have something to hold so I can feel like I've actually purchased it, even legally downloading something straight onto my laptop is just unfulfilling. YES buy Doolittle

Top 5 CRAB That Are Physically Furthest Away From Me As I Sit Here

2. A black one with generic white writing I can't read
3. One with a white spine & black lettering which may or may not be Rather Ripped by Sonic Youth, Or if not one that looks just like it.
4. A light orange one with small black writing which i'm 99% sure is DaDa by Alice Cooper
5. Nope, can't see it sorry.
