Ringo kept the rhythm and didn't show off and let others have the spotlight. he blended very well.
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT MEG WHITE DOES, BUT GOD FORBID YOU DON'T THINK MEG WHITE IS GARBAGE HURDURR
yeah early on you hear her and she doesn't do a good job, but the past few years she's managed to blend perfectly with the guitars and THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT RINGO DID.

Sonic Youth I definitely agree with but Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, My Bloody Valentine and Nine Inch Nails would make up the other four for me.

I've only very briefly listened to Husker Du before, I've heard good things though so should probably give them another go.

So how is Syd Barret 'completely unlistenable' then? Elitist snobbery? I listen to Whitesnake so I'm not best judged to make an opinion although I think i made a good one.

Ha it was a joke, they only have one album. I haven't really extensively listened to them but from what I've heard it's pretty good. And yeah I haven't seen you around here much, but it's good to know you're still alive and kickin.

No room for the Brenden Perry's Ark? For shame good sir ;) I think I remeraber you saying you were a DCD fan anywway.

I did a list like that of my own a few pages back, but it keeps changing now. I'm just gonna wait 'til the end of the year to bother trying again.

The only thing that My Bloody Valentine released in the 80s I really liked was 'You Made Me Realise'. 'Isn't Anything' doesn't even come close to 'Loveless' in my opinion (which, by the way, is one of my all time favorites).

I enjoy Pixies too though, just not as much as other people I guess. I can't say they're overrated, but I don't like 'Surfer Rosa' and 'Doolittle' as much as other people.
