Top 5 Greatest Frontmen of All-Time

Even if the lyrics suck, you can't really understand him to begin with, so it doesn't mean anything. The moaning goes along nicely with the music.

I am going to revise my list and base my decision on banRAB I have seen live or seen live videos of:
Alice Cooper
Freddie Mercury
Jimmy Urine
Dave Mustaine
Robert Smith

Oasis lyrics aren't really profound, I grew up thinking they were but they were just Noel pissed up in a bed sit rhyming fishes and dishes and standing at the station needing education. I think it was just drug/alcohol fueled rhyming which seemed to work until they took it too far with 'the cocaine album'

I think The Masterplan is a liked song at least amongst Oasis fans because it was a B-side, Noel didn't even deem it good enough to put on an LP.

And.. yes. ;)

Release? Maybe it's just because I've heard the song so many times, but I can understand it pretty well.

He's definitely more understandable than Chris Cornell or Kurt Cobain.

Well you're right there, he wasn't reallu the frontman, but until they got big he did all the behind the scenes work and it sucks that everyone knows Cobain and Grohl but not very many people recognize Novoselic as the most talented meraber. Cobain was a really great frontman in the sense that he really made the band sell with his...Kurt-ness.

m8, i ain't a violent person at all but if there was one person on earth i could torture, it would be ollie sykes. without a shadow of a doubt.

my actual answer would probably be..

j masics
thurston moore
brian molko
frank black
trent reznor

This list was a lot harder to compile than I thought it would be. But here is my top 5;

1. Kyo.
2. Mike Patton.
3. Matt Bellamy.
4. David Bowie.
5. Zack De La Rocha.

There's many others I can appreciate though. I've narrowed it down to these guys based on my favourites and concert experiences.

I just want to give Olie Sykes a slap, he isn't worth the time and effort of killing him... oh wait, maybe he is. He's actually THAT much of a prick.

Yeah, and think about it: no one really knew who Dave Grohl was until he was the lead singer of the Foo Fighters, right? Krist Novoselic was a good bassist, but he hasn't done much since Nirvana ended, sadly.

Highway to Hell and Back in Black are great albums if you just want straight up rock n roll, fun lyrics. Not all rock has got to be great lyrics IMO, although I'm drawn to the written word.
