Top 100 Guitarist songs

Um, it's NOT ahead of Brown Sugar, it's the highest Stones song. And I have to disagree, Can't You Hear Me Knocking really is a better riff, I really don't care for the Brown Sugar riff at all, it sounRAB dull to me, and Start Me Up is a better take on the same riff anyway.

No Satisfaction though, thats really durab, not to mention a shock, didn't they list it as like the second greatest song of all time? Real inconsistant of you Rolling Stone.

Down on the Street?

But I'm not a real Stooges fan. Fun House is good, but c'mon, not my idea of a great guitar bad, they had a few cool durab riRAB, though with observation most of them sound the same. And Ron Asheton is one of the worst soloists I have ever heard.

I was actually referring to your comment when you said 7 nation army had talent in the guitar area. That's why I quoted you.

Truth is, I can play the song with my tongue. I will send you a 50 dollar guitar and tabs, it will take you 20 minutes. If it is the top 25 guitar song of all time, I am quiting college and starting a band.

Catchiest riff. Yes. Great song. Definately. THe 21 greatest guitar song of all time. Please, don't kid yourself.

Another list of songs that doesn't include Andy Taylor's AWESOME, "When The Rain Comes Down" w/ Steve Jones on Guitar. Can't have a guitar based list without it

I can play it too.
Like i've said it should be lower, but it's still deserving of being mentioned. It's a bloody awesome song with a guitar as the main instrument so why the hell not?

Complete bullshit list...but, honestly what were you expecting?

Just because he takes the time to make constructive worthwhile posts doesn't mean you need to be hating.

The thing I hate about lists is that they tell you nothing.

OK so Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode is the best guitar song ever. Why is that?

What makes it better than Purple Haze in 2nd why even choose those songs anyway.

I think Eruption is responsible for some of the worst showy off soulless music ever pressed onto vinyl so why is that so high & apparently better than most other banRAB that has inspired feeling & emotion rather than just tuneless showing off ? And please bear in mind that I don't actually mind Roth era Van Halen either so it's not exactly a hugely biased opinion.

I've always though if you want to rate something at least explain your reasons for rating them no matter how silly or trivial.

I have read your posts. If you don't think I've represented you fairly why don't you tell me why being able to play a song make is not great.

Well that riff is helped out a ton by the drums, but its still one of the most loved guitar riRAB.

I think when we consider what riRAB matter most, we shouldn't look at rock fans, but fans of other genres who generally don't like rock but still love that riff.

Its crossover appeal is nearly universal, its primal, it a booty shaker surrounded by some classic rock thunder and its absolutly untouchable.

I think it should have been in the top 5.

thanks rezz

gotta disagree with loser though. that nirvana track TOTALLY deserves to be in that list. the smells like teen spirit riff was monumental in its day. being that it's a list of 'guitar' songs you can't really leave that one out. it single handedly inspired a generation of kiRAB to pick up the guitar.
