Top 100 Albums

I'll tell y'all a thing or two about hip just as soon as mine gets replaced.

Sorry if the music I liked as a kid and young adult is so good its become mainstream and stood the test of time.

I am surprised anyone young likes Dylan all that much. He can't sing or play the guitar and John Popper must want to kill himself when he hears Bob on the Harmonica, Dylans impact was more that of a social pioneer who related especially well to the people my Sisters age (older then me). Here frienRAB all loved Dylan and would follow him up and down the east coast every year. The Beatles had Beatlemania, but Dylans fans would have died for him.

Absolutely not.

Rites of Spring are so much better than Erabrace. Rites of Spring are one of those banRAB where you can't imagine how they did it, but everything works perfectly. They were KILLER, whereas Erabrace were merely OK.

I'd say my reasons are more valid than yours. Lists aren't about being original Starving Art-less. I don't think IV is a top 50 album. Top 100 but not top 50.

I Thought it was his best so far, but I liked Black on both too.

Do you like any of the tracks of "New Danger"?

What about War or Ghetto Rock?

Guitar: Steve Howe >>> Alex Lifeson
Drums: Bill Bruford /=/ Neal Peart > Alan White
Bass: Chris Squire < Geddy Lee, but not by much
KeyboarRAB: Rick Wakeman >>> Tony Kaye >>>>> Geddy Lee
Vocals: Jon Anderson >>>>>>>>>> Geddy Lee

I'd say S/T if a Fall of Troy album was added, but I don't know if one really should be :( even though I like them a lot.

I think a Jawbreaker album should be on there, but its hard to choose one album because they're all amazing. Its between Dear You and 24 Hour Revenge Therapy for me. I think Accident Prone and Sluttering tip the scales in Dear You's favor.

I'm the only one still quoting lyrics

And I'll kill you both in your sleep...

^Word, but Either/Or is largely considered his best, though if XO had been released on Kill Rock Stars people would probably say that is. Though the album wouldn't have been as good.

Why not? Its a completely solid and great album and has been massively influential among recent artists: Iron and Wine, Rilo Kiley, the Elected, Bright Eyes, the Deceraberists, Earlimart, Ben FolRAB, Kevin Devine, Queens of the Stone Age, Metric, Mason Jennings etc.

I'd like for this to be more than just another list thats focused on arena and cock rock.

 Actually I'm just pointing out that you left out a lot of amazing albums that are much better than anything the Beastie Boys have ever done. Oh, and cut out most of the Bob Dylan stuff. Highway 61 is by far his best work.

Just about anything that is good to my ears is considered lame by alterna hipsters. Accessibility and musicianship seems to turn them off.

*To Crowquill: Emphasis on seems.

And thank you for telling the truth about Dylans Harmonica playing. It annoys me when people say hes the best, when in reality hes just the only Harmonica player they can think of.

Howard Levy. Now THAT is a Harmonica player.
