Oh cool, a Sci-fi top 10. :D

1) Empire Strikes Back - My favourite ever film. :o

2) Aliens - Let's Rock!

3) The Day the Earth Caught Fire - Peter Stenning, my hero.

4) Star Wars - Once Han Solo turns up, it's a riot.

5) Forbidden Planet - It looks so good, even now.

6) The Matrix - The first film is superb, the others, well..

7) Star Trek: The Motion Picture - Criminally disregarded, perhaps...

8) Escape from New York/The Thing - Carpenter+Russell = Perfection.

9) Andromeda Strain - I just love the quiet menace and split screen filming.

10) Logan's Run - Not only do I love the guns with green muzzle flashes, but I also love Jenny too. :o

I suppose 2001 should be in here somewhere, but it's a bit hard going in places... I actually prefer 2010.

Logan's Run seems to get a lot of mentions, it's a great film and maybe should have been in my top 10 as I do love it, does anyone remember the TV series based on it? I remember watching as a kid but I don't think it ran for very long. I here they are/were planning a remake, since it's so often overlooked maybe a remake would be beneficial.

Logan's Run only ran for 14 episodes before being axed. The episode I remember the most was where they came across a spooky New Orleans style house and met ghosts! The Sci Fi Channel has repeated the TV series a few times.

Does anyone know if the new movie version still going ahead? The last I heard was that there was a bit of a disagreement over whether it should be a true adaptation of the original book or just a remake of the 70's film.
