Top 10 Sci Fi Films

Sci-fi films are great but the Film4 list looks crap to be honest. They should show
Blade runner as i've not seen it yet
 
The original Fly is good too. I do like a bit of David Cronenberg , I have Eastern Promises
somewhere (it's not mine:p)
 
I see Film 4 are running a sci-fi season, (is Batman really sci-fi?). Anyway, I'm not particularly looking forward to their selection but here's what I'd have rather seen.

My top ten sci-fi films

2. Blade Runner

4. The Fifth Element
5. THX 1138
6. The Andromeda Strain
7. Invasion of the Body Snatchers
8. Sleeper

10. The Empire Strikes Back
 
Er..it belongs to a friend of a friend and is mine now. Along with other films he forgot to get back! I am such an easy person to hate.

When your back is turned i'll fill a van up eh?:D

The original is arguably better than the intense remake.However,you would need to look beyond the fact it's B&W,has silly makeup/effects,and has an highly impractical plot.

I think the remake is better though.
 
Is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind sci-fi? I've seen it billed as sci-fi before but never quite sure whether to agree with the label. I guess they use some advanced technology, so...

Anyway, if it is, I think it definitely deserves a place.
 
I don't have many things for someone my age! Good to be honest , I live in a small cave full of junk and slime.

Er..sci fi. Don't forget Gremlins! Saw it last year with a bunch of 20 somethings and we all loved it:D

Oh! Battle Royale is good too
 
Some great films being mentioned here - Barbarella, Silent Running, Robocop, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Forbidden Planet. :D

What do Film 4 treat us with? Another showing of Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes:cry: :cry:
