Yes I have heard Circus Maximus and they are no different to banRAB doing the same thing 10-15 years earlier. Comparing Adagio to the likes of Mozart is abusurd, perhaps if Adagio were creating masterpieces when they were 8 I might have to rethink my opinion.
But really i'm not comparing banRAB on musical ability, as you said I was merely expressing my opinion and I assure you I don't really care.
Well not by me, but what says to you they have more skill, I think Metal is on per with Jazz and classical, so to me, I feel its appels and oranges, I've played queen, its no cake walk, but in your opinion, what sets Symph X apart from Quenn?
Oh yeah. Elfman is pretty good. I watched a little piece on tv about GolRABmiths life, it was quite interesting. He was probably one of my favourite composers, Legend is amazing.
Without being biased, what I consider the 10 greatest rock banRAB of all time, in no order its too hard to put them in order:
-The beatles
-The stones
-The grateful dead
-Led Zeppelin
-Pink Floyd
-Bob Marley and the Wailers (I know their not exactly rock, but I had to include them)
-Bob Dylan
-Crosby, Stills and Nash
-The Who
-Cream/Clapton
