Top 10 Most Insane Child-Warping moments of 1980's toons

Am I the only one who thinks that the Smurfs singing a demon to death is rather hilarious? In fact, I find that rather believable. :anime:

I do hope all that was written in jest, because of the half or so I recall seeing as a kid none of them disturbed or harmed me in any way. I guarantee you, no little kid thought through the logic of the TMNT being attracted to April.

And another thing, why would nasty demons and dark wizards be a step too far even in the 80's? What nonsense, you don't get more black and white than you do with villains like those. Anything can be done to them with the complete approval of the audience. They were for cartoons what Nazis were and are for movies.

I think "There's No place Like Springfield" was one of the most disturbing toons in animation I had ever seen. All of Shipwreck's loved ones all melting like chocolate in the hot sun was very scary.

Disney did its share at one time in its cartoons, like in 101 Dalmations, there was Hell Hall. But, let's get back on topic, just my 2 cents.

Even then, many will still take it out of context, so even if refering to the place you're still swearing in the eyes of the general public.

Is hellions even considered a profane word?

Good question. In fact, as far as the occult goes, I chanced to check out another 1980s cartoon, G.I.Joe, and in one of its stories, The Sins Of Our Fathers, Destro said something that sounded like a foregin tongue, but I knew was a backward voice, so by using my bidirectional reel to reel tape machine, I found out that what the D-man was saying, was: "Anyone listening to it backward for a secret occult message, is a real dweeb."
