Toonzone's Top 50 Animated Movie Nominations

Can I include TV movies with this?
If so I've got a few TV movies I've gotta add.

Jimmy Neutron-Win Loose Kabloom: This TV movie is awesome, it had action in it, comedy. It did add some what character development to Jimmy. I also really loved the games they did did.

Jimmy Neutron League of Villains: More really cool battles, different team ups. I liked the Jimmy/Sheen/T team up that was great. I loved Cindy's character development. Sheen was funny like normal. Than Carl, well he's gone backwards in development, he's become more mean and annoying. But at least Libby/Cindy put him down a bit. Animation has improved so much. I liked seeing them with there powers to defeat villains, very good.

Danny Phantom The Ultimate Enemy: I loved Dark Danny, his moves every thing was great. The battles was better than normal, you saw a different side of Vlad.

Danny Phantom Region Storm: I liked the battles in this one, the villains and Heroe teaming up. I liked Danny/Vlad's rivalry/frenemy here. The main villain was pretty cool.

Movies

The Secret of nimh-Classic movie, just classic. I loved the animation here, the storyline was brilliant. All the characters had great character development, the villain was horrible, in a good way. I mean they had me belive he was a horrible villain, which is good. There was bits of humor too and drama. Yah classic kids movie, one of my top favorites for sure.

Rock-A-Doodle: Good music, fun characters, fun adventure. Another one of my favorites.

Rover Dangerfield: This was just such a funny movie. It also developed Rover great, you really felt sorry for him through out the film. It had a cute romance between the two dogs.

Ferngully: I loved every thing about this film. Batty {Did I spell his name right?} Was my favorite character of the film, he cracked me up. I liked the human character Zak, he got great character development and was fun. Zak and Battys friendship was another thing I liked, gave a lot of humor to the film. I loved the music. Though I gotta admit I wanted Zak to stay and have romance with Crysta, but that's in the past. Can't change the way things turned out.

The Prince and the Pauper: This is my favorite Mickey film, Mickey was wonderful here and I have to say I just loved the voice actor of him here too. Donald was so funny, he had a small part though. I did like his and Goofys relationship during the fight, too funny. Pete of course, would expect no difference of him, was a good villain.

A Goofy Movie: The first one was awesome, good songs and developed Max's character and I loved his and Goofy's relationship in the film.

Little Nemo: Cute movie, I liked all the characters and the action was cool. The ending always creeped me out as a kid, still does a bit silly me :p

Titan A.E: While its not done in the good 2D animation, its still a good film to me. The animation matches the film for sure. I like all the characters, the fights were very cool.

The Rescuers Down Under: I loved the first film too, this is one of the few times where the second one was better than the first. Every thing about this film was great. Animation was much better here too.

Aladdin: I loved the whole trilogy and the series, felt this was the first time a series from a film was good. But were talking about the first film here. Return of Jafar was ok too, but not as good as the first film. I loved the songs, Jasmine has to be my favorite princess. Genie and Iago were both really funny guys, all through out including the series they were the best. Aladdin himself was an awesome main Disney character.

The Little Mermaid: Another good Disney film. I loved the songs again, Ariel and Jasmine are tied as my favorite Disney princess. I love her singing, she does such a good job in singing. Than Sebastian and Scuttle were my favorite characters and wow the ending was the best. Some times Disney really knows how to end there films with a bang.

There's more films I like, but these are my top.
 
Like Spideyfan said, would you mind putting them in order? If not, I'll just keep them the way that they are. I assume that the ones that you thought of first would be toward the top of your list.

me too, only i also want to make a few changes, considering I have rewatched a couple on there, plus I have seen Up since I sent my list to you.
 
Here's my slightly reworked top 20, with explanations for the top 10.

1. The Incredibles
My favorite animated movie of all time, and Pixar's best movie to date. They successfully combined action, humor, and drama into a superhero movie. The greatest thing about this movie is that it combined an adult story with something that little kids love, superheroes. This is truly a movie that the entire family can enjoy, a terrific masterpiece.

2. Up
Just had the pleasure of watching this movie less than a week ago, and i was simply blown away. Yes, there is much in here to laugh at, whether it be Russell's antics or Dug's franticness and ADDness. However, what makes the movie so perfect is the powerful dramatic parts that begin the story, and then right again near the end when Carl flips through the scrapbook. A near perfect movie, totally deserving of the #2 spot

3. Toy Story
Yes, another Pixar film, this the one that put Pixar on the map for sure. Although a Bug's Life was very good, without Toy Story's success I don't know that we could have had movies like Up and The Incredibles. The characterizations of Woody and Buzz are perfect thanks to the great casting of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. Sid makes a very funny villain and this is a winning comedy

4. Emperor's New Groove
Another Disney film, but this of the regular 2D style of animation. Probably Disney's funniest ever non-Pixar movie, it is a joy to watch. David Spade is great as Emperor Kuzco, the haughty emperor that the evil Yzma turns into a Llama with the help of her hilariously stupid sidekick Kronc. With one hilarious moment after another, this is a truly entertaining movie.

5. Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker(uncut)
My favorite of several superhero movies that will appear on this list, and probably the darkest and most adult animated movie I've ever seen. Although Batman Beyond was a great and very adult cartoon, Return of the Joker took it to a level that hadn't yet been reached. It contains action and comedy, yes, but the most compelling thing about the movie is the way it shows why Bruce Wayne stopped being Batman. The flashback scenes are gripping and dramatic, and you feel for Wayne as you see what he experienced. As in the show, the writers don't shy away from death or serious themes, and it causes the end(at least the first time) to play out very well.

6. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
Originally, I had this way farther down on the list, but after rewatching it about a month ago, I remembered just how great a movie it really was. It explores Bruce's past, and it was able to allow you to experience his feelings of both love and loss. The movie had a darker tone than the series, and because it was released in theaters, it was able to be more adult and show death onscreen. It is a great drama, and one of the most compelling animated movies ever.

7. Wall-E
With this movie, Pixar did the unthinkable, in more ways then one. First, they accomplished making an incredible movie where the main characters have a vocabulary of less than 5 words. Also, another great feat is the addition of Fred Willard in live action as the President, while the current characters are all animated. The action is great, and the drama is even better. Just a wonderful movie.

8. Pinocchio
One of the Disney originals, and their best classic, in my mind. The thing that stands out most about this movie is that not only does it tell a fascinating story, but it also has a deep moral to it. A riveting story, the characters are fascinating and make it come alive.

9. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Another classic, and this one has several great moments. From the phrase "Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Who's the fairest of them all?" to the meeting of the dwarfs, to Snow White biting into the poisoned apple, this tale is as interesting and timeless as they come.

10. Toy Story 2
Yet another wonderful offering from Pixar, it tells the story of the toys from the first movie attempting to rescue Woody as he deals with the fact that Andy is getting older. yes it is a comedy, but there are some very dramatic moments in it too. also, the addition of great new character makes it a joy to watch.

Yes, I realize my list is very pro-Ghibli, but that's only because they actually ARE my favorite movies. If I had to choose 20 movies to watch, I'd pick these...

1. Spirited Away:

Spirited Away is Miyazaki's masterpiece. The animation is gorgeous, and is complemented by the music which is stunning. The plot is very refreshing and reminds you of classics like Alice in Wonderland. The characters are very dynamic and no one is truly evil. It's a simple story of a buildungsroman.

2. Princess Mononoke

Man, I love this movie. It is an epic adventure filled with action, romance, and drama. The best thing about this movie is its plot, it sends out an environmental message of Man vs. Nature. Also what makes this story even more likable, is that there's no clear good or bad side. San hurts innocent villagers, and Eboshi destroys forests and animals. But, San is trying to save the forest, and Eboshi just wants her villagers to be happy and prosperous. Great movie.

3. Kiki's Delivery Service

Normally I'd put Howl's Moving Castle here, but Kiki's Delivery Service is a classic. This gorgeous film is a coming of age story about maturity and finding inspiration. All the characters are very likable, especially Kiki, who learns to grow up into a young lady.

4. My Neighbor Totoro

This is a very good film for children and adults. The relationship between the two young sisters is touching, and is backed by a good supporting cast. Just like other Miyazaki movies, it has great animation and music.

5. Howl's Moving Castle

Also a great film, it has a funny, emotional cast of characters. I can't really think of much else to say, besides the awe-inspiring animation and music.

6. The Cat Returns

This is a very sweet, funny film. Not by Miyazaki, but equally good. It features unique animation, and not too shabby music.

7. Whisper of the Heart

This is a great film, it too is inspiring to find what you should do with your life. I love the laid back feeling of this film. The romance is cute, too.

8. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

The plot is the best thing about this film. It's very similar to Princess Mononoke in the overall message. The animation is not too bad for 1984, and the main song is very good. But some background music unfortunately is kind of meh. Overall great.

9. Lion King

I watched this all the time as a child, and it really is one of Disney's best.

10. Ponyo

Only Miyazaki movie I've seen in theaters, and it was a great film. The animation was very unique and pretty. The characters were delightful, and the plot was cool, too.

Nominations will be open until Sunday morning. This could potentially change, but I'll leave it at that for now. It's going well by the way. There are a lot of pleasent surprises and variety. And I believe that it is very representative of Toon Zone.
