ToonZone's Top 25 anime OP's

Well, as I already said, music is highly subjective. The perfect example of this is that in my case, liking Smile Borab has nothing to do with me liking the show that its the OP for, but moreso that I just like the song in general, whereas Unbalanced Kisses, on the other hand, is actually my 2nd least favorite YYH ED (not to say that I don't like it, because all of the YYH ED's are pretty good, but this one never stuck out to me that much).

I'd also just like to point out that I really didn't pick the music by how well it may have matched up with the animation or how well it fit the respective show which it was an OP for. Maybe it sounRAB weird, but I basically genuinely like all of the songs which I nominated completely on their own terms (which might be especially surprising for the GTO opening which I selected, since the only other people I know who have seen the series hate that song but love the OP's animation, which implies to me that I'm one of the few who really actually likes it ).
 
Some terrible shows have great OPs and some great shows have terrible OPs. Of course that's all subjective. Everybody likes different things.

Now as far as music goes I prefer something with a bit of drive to it. Or at least that's what I most commonly listen to. However I like music of every genre though I generally stay away from Country, American Pop and raunchy rap music.

I can appreciate a song like Cha La or We Are or for that matter Pegasus Fantasy for being entertaining songs and they might show up in my playlist on a whim but Smile Borab is more in the Freckles category for me in that it's alright, its not a bad song by any means but I'm not likely to listen to it often if at all. Some people would feel otherwise and that's fine but that doesn't mean I hate all laid back music or something like that. That's hardly the case. In-fact, I particularly like laid back Jazz tunes.
 
Eh, I can understand where you're coming from, but I personally wouldn't go as far as to compare Smile Borab with that Rurouni Kenshin OP. To me, Smile Borab is laid back but its also "fun" with its lyrics and with the music, and I guess I just like "fun" music above all else, if that makes any sense at all.
 
Oh, I forgot to vote. Oh well. If you know my tastes, you might have already guessed most of what I would have picked anyway.

Also, as a huge BECK fan, 'Hit In The USA' isn't really that good, IMO. 'My World Down' is so, so, sooooo much better.

If there's an ED list, that would be my #1.
 
What this list tells me is that my taste in music is wildly different from most of the rest of those who took part in this little exercise, which is made abunduntly clear by the fact I vastly preferred your fake nuraber 1 to either the actual nuraber 1 or 2. Now, since I hadn't seen most of these openings, I watched them all just to see what they were like, so, for the most part, they were new to me, but I found very few of them that actually jumped out and caught my attention as something that was really good. Of course, that's just my opinion.
 
Personally, I find it interesting "Give A Reason" was the Slayers OP to show up here (and so high!) when they all tend to sound the same to me. Maybe it's because NEXT is the best Slayers series in the minRAB of most (and me, for that matter)?

Then again, it is also the only Slayers series to not be directed by the usual director. Seiji Mizushima (yes, him of Shaman King, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Gundam 00) handled NEXT.
