This is the talkback thread for "Xenosaga" Fails To Fill in the Blanks.
Xenosaga does leave a lot of questions unanswered in just the first one, but that's where the problem lies. There are two more video games that take place after the first Xenosaga which answer all the questions asked throughout the review, but those two games weren't turned into anime, so the story is left incomplete.
My biggest complaint happens to be details that are altered from the first game and in the anime. While the basic story is the same, there are some humans that are turning into gnosis. This is left out of the anime. A couple of rescue scenes explaining the importance of Ziggy are also left out. Heck, there's one person that dies in the first battle that is in the anime almost the entire time. These little differences serve as a major deterrent for anyone who has played the games.
I should point out though that the music is considered to be the best part of the series. They considered the music to be so good in the anime series that they fired the man who did music in the first game and used the man who did the music in the anime series for the second and third games.
