Toon Zone Talkback - Writers Named for DreamWorks' "Gil's All Fright Diner"

I presume that this is to be a live-action film (Barry Sonnenfeld to direct), so what is it doing here?

Also, 'riding the Twilight rollercoaster'? Hey, this could actually be a good book. Why the assuming? (I'm still disappointed by the non-existent box office of Cirque Du Freak: the Vampire's Assistant; people probably assumed the same of CDF, even though the film was quite entertaining.)

The film was alright but I don't know if it will have staying power once it comes out on DVD. Speaking of Cirque Du Freak, I still have to finish reading the first three books in full even though I've read the manga adaptations of them.

Ha ha ha. Get it? "All-FRIGHT diner?" Because there's an all-night diner in a movie with a vampire and a werewolf.
What is this, the 80s?!

They lost me at "much like the Twilight saga".

I thought the same thing myself, seeing the director and source material, which would be more known to adults than kids. The idea of the book becoming a traditional Dreamworks flick I can easilly see though.

It is in fact a very good book.
I also don't see the Twilight connection at all beyond it hapening to involve vampires and werewolves, since the book's a funny one; it's closer to "Carpe Jugulum" than "Twilight". That and both characters are rednecks...and there's a ghost headless Scottie dog involved. And Cthullhu (sorta).
