Toon Zone Talkback - Toon Zone Interviews Evan Baily on Digging Into "Turok Son of Stone"

Will this be the talkback thread for the film? If so, I picked this up last night and I just watched it. I LOVED it. I never played the games or kept up with the comics, but I really enjoyed it. Nice gore, dinosaurs, hot women, good action, hot women, etc etc. :D

There will be a talkback when the review of the DVD goes up (Real Soon Now!), but now's as good a place as any to start talking about the DVD, especially since that big ol' spoileriffic section in the middle pretty much gives away the movie.

Just saw Turok and thought it was actually pretty darn enjoyable. Very light on plot but very heavy on action so you don't really have time to notice.

The music is passable but uninspired. The direction and animation is solid. The character designs though are quite excellent. I remember thinking, during my viewing, that if the movie had been about a bunch of white guys I might not have enjoyed it as much.

I want to note for anyone who dislikes violence that this movie is VERY VERY violent. And I don't mean like Turok shoots an arrow at someone and then there's a jump cut and the guy falls dead. I mean spears, arrows, knives, bullets going into PEOPLE fully on screen with buckets of blood.

I went into Turok fully expecting it to suck but in the end was pleasantly surprised. Kudos to the team behind this DVD.
