The movie was all right, but I don't have much of an urge to BUY it on DVD.

I really felt that Jerry and Spike's portions of the script were the best. It seems like Jerry's comedy routine acted out and animated. The only thing I really hated was Rene Zelweigger. I know these films are celebrity driven, but Rene Zelweigger?

I also feel this was one of their better films. I disagree with the review on some level there. It was leaps and bounds more enjoyable than Shrek 3, and a gazillion times better than Shark Tale (Jack Black's role was the only thing even remotely interresting).

The one thing I will give it, the character designs are for the most part cute. A lot of times in Dreamworks films, the characters look terrible. I'm gonna come clean and say this, but I think the human characters in Shrek were beyond hideous, especially the king. And I hated the fish/human hybrid faces in Shark Tale.

That said, I found the plot to be, while dramatically unrealistic in it's interpretation, a very important lesson in keeping the Honey Bee from becoming extinct. Much as I really hate the stinging little craps, we need them. It was almost like an ecological tale that didn't come across too preachy. I'd give it a C, not a D.

Hey, that was my second favorite movie from last year...then again, it was the only movie I saw last year...besides TSM.

I actually saw this in a second run theater last night for a buck fifty. The cheaper price probably keeps me from complaining. I enjoyed this movie a lot actually. From the very beginning, I could tell you weren't supposed to take this movie too seriously, hence the play on words with the title Bee Movie. I like Entertainment Weekly's review better.

The 'We're all cousins' line, references to movies like the Graduate, and the legal jokes all had me cracking up.
