Toon Zone Talkback - "The Pitts" Animated Series in the Works

You know, I actually made a thread several years ago on this very board where I said The Pitts would probably work better if it was animated. Will I be right?

Honestly, those two, as wretched as they are don't even make the top ten for me. I can see this lasting only a half a season, unless they put it in a good timeslot.

Don't forget the live-action show Get A Life with Chris Elliot. That aired first and had the main character die every episode.

Actually, I did forget that show. I have been meaning to get the DVD's, but they're long out of print. I watched that show when I was much younger. When did it come out? 1989, 1990? Of course, that show had the talent of Chris Elliot going for it.

Speaking of The Pitts, what about resurrecting Oliver Beene. I think that show would be better for a comeback than this horrible dreck.

I think it would be better to revive Chris Elliot's Get A Life as an animated sitcom than the Pitts. At least Get A Life has a following.

Actually, I don't believe he died every episode, just most of the episodes. And you know, killing a character every episode has actually been done many other times prior to South Park. For instance, there used to be a stand-up show on Fox called The Edge in which the cast got killed in every episode. Also, in the old Aeon Flux episodes Aeon Flux got killed in every episode. Hmmm...I'm thinking of making a thread about characters that are killed in every episode.



Oliver Beene was actually pretty bad. But, the actor who played Oliver is talented. They should give him another show. What's he up to now, anyway?

Don't forget Stressed Eric. Eric Feeble died from stress at the end of every episode, except for that one episode where he and his family were killed by someone else.
